Poster Presentations

Poster presentations at SMDM 2022 will be presented in 4 poster sessions. 

  • Poster Session 1 - Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 18:30 - 20:00 PT, in-person,
  • Poster Session 2 - Lusted student poster session - Monday, October 24, 2022 at 07:00 - 08:30 PT, hybrid,
  • Poster Session 3 - Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 07:00 - 08:30 PT, in-person and
  • Poster Session 4 - Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 07:00 - 08:30 PT, virtual.

Attendees attending in-person will be able to view posters during poster sessions on the poster boards while there will be an option for all attendees (in-person and online) to access posters also anytime during the meeting on the SMDM 2022 virtual platform.

Poster Board Guidelines

  • Posters will be hung on bulletin boards with a display area of 3' height x 6' width.
  • Abstract title, author(s) and institution must be placed at the top of your poster in large lettering (at least 2" high).
  • Be sure graphs, charts and copy can be read at a distance of 6'-8'.
  • Pushpins will be provided to attach your poster to the poster board.
  • All poster abstract presenters must disclose conflicts of interest or perceived conflicts of interest at the time of presentation. Please include a statement on the bottom of your poster disclosing potential conflicts of interest or stating there were no conflicts.
  • Posters need to be removed prior to the next Poster Session. Posters not removed by the owner will be removed by SMDM event staff and will be housed at the SMDM registration desk.

Online Poster Upload

All poster presenters will as well receive an email with poster uploading information to be able to access the online poster upload platform by end of September.

The system will enable to upload posters as 1-page pdf document (3' height x 6' width).
The option of uploading a 2 minute-long video file (.mp4) to describe the research will be available.


How to Upload Your Poster?

Click on the Poster amongst list of your posters and follow the steps below:

Step 1: Prepare your poster

Prepare your Poster as 1-page landscape pdf document (up to 2 MB). There is no obligatory template that should be used. Example template can be reached here.

Step 2: Poster upload

Click on the "pencil" icon under PDF and choose your PDF file to upload it from your local disk.
If you accept that other delegates would be allowed to download your e-poster, please click "allow poster download" next to your uploaded file.
You may upload a thumbnail of your poster as PNG or JPG file which will be displayed as the icon on the Poster Gallery (optional).
Click on Save and close poster upload section.

Step 3: Video upload (optional)

You may upload .mp4 video files to describe your research. These video files must not exceed 2 minutes.
Please click the pencil icon under “Videos”.
Choose your adding method as "Local" or "Vimeo".

Local: You should add the URL from your own Youtube or Vimeo account as shown with the following formats: or

Vimeo: You should upload an .mp4 file from your local disk and we will upload it on your behalf to the Vimeo account on the server.

Type your video name (as you want it to be displayed to the participants). Please click “Add Video” button. It may take some time for your video to be uploaded.

Then click on “Close” video upload section.

Step 4: Congratulations! Your e-poster is uploaded!
